The Nominet Internet Awards is an annual competition that promotes UK best practice and celebrates achievement and innovation on the Internet.
Building on the success of the Best Practice Challenge over three years, we will recognise those organisations, groups or individuals who have embraced the challenge of making the Internet a secure, open, accessible or diverse experience for all.
An eminent panel of judges, chaired by Rt Hon Alun Michael MP assess the entries and look for innovative initiatives that successfully address the key Internet Governance Forum (IGF) themes: security, access, diversity and openness.
The winning entries in each category are promoted as demonstrations of best practice to industry, government, academia and in the media both in the UK and internationally. They are also invited to take a leading role in the UK IGF's preparatory meeting for the international IGF meeting.
Full details of the Nominet Internet Awards 2010, including information about the categories and how to enter is available on the Nominet website at: www.nominet.org.uk/go/internetawards
